We say good bye to Friend Today

Sunday evening...we helped Our Lily Pass over into her next life...The one without us.....This part of farm life is always so sad ;0(
There is NOTHING that makes this easier, Except to know that her pain is over,
To spite the fact that her White Cell count had actually gone down & we had changed to a stronger Anti Biotic, She had stopped eating and drinking & was so weak she would fall or couldn't’ stand at all…
It has been my experience –when Llamas & Alpacas become this weak, from illness
They do not recover.

So Today we have a Llama Funeral..& pay Tribute to the time she spent with us …toooo short but Presiouse, & sweet.
Born on another farm in upstate NY on July 4th 2008 Named “Kali-Lily”, She came to our Farm in the spring of 2009, Still at her Mother’s side.
She was the Dutiful Daughter, never straying to far from Mom’s side.

The Comic relief… just look at that face!!

just One of the Girls….

And after her Little Sister came, the ever Watchful Big Sis…always close just in case…
So we say Farewell to Our Lily…you where a precious flower in our herd, and we will miss you.
So peace & love go with you on your journey Lily
Until we meet again..

  1. Big hugs! Thank you for sharing your tribute to Lily.

  2. It's never easy, but it is a part of life. I'm sure she'll be happy in her next life.

  3. Thank you for visiting my blog and so sorry about the passing of Lily (what a pretty name). We said goodbye to our 15 yo pugdog a few weeks ago, that's one of the hardest decisions I ever had to make.

    RIP Lily.

  4. I am so sorry for your are right this part of farm life is lucky Lily was to have owners that loved her as much as you.
